Play233 ("we", "our", or "us") operates the mobile word puzzle game Jollof Words, available on iOS (App Store) and Android (Google Play). This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect when you use Jollof Words, why we collect it, and how we protect it.
By downloading or playing Jollof Words, you agree to the practices described in this policy. If you do not agree, please discontinue use of the app.
Short version: Jollof Words is designed to be lightweight on data. We do not sell your personal information to anyone, ever.
Data We Collect
We collect only what is necessary to run the game and improve your experience:
- Gameplay data — puzzle progress, scores, levels completed, and in-game currency (Adinkra coins) balances stored locally on your device.
- Device information — device type, operating system version, and app version for crash diagnostics and compatibility.
- Analytics data — anonymised usage events (e.g. screens visited, session length) to understand how the game is played.
- Crash reports — automatic error logs to help us fix bugs quickly. These do not contain personally identifiable information.
We do not require you to create an account. We do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or payment details directly through Jollof Words.
How We Use Your Information
The data we collect is used solely to:
- Operate and maintain the Jollof Words game experience.
- Diagnose crashes and fix technical issues.
- Understand which features players enjoy so we can improve the game.
- Comply with legal obligations under applicable law.

We do not integrate third-party advertising SDKs into Jollof Words. There are no ads in the game.
Children's Privacy
Jollof Words is a word puzzle game suitable for general audiences, including children. We are committed to complying with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and equivalent regulations globally.
We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. Jollof Words does not require account creation, does not include chat features, and does not serve behavioural advertising.

Data Retention
Gameplay progress is stored locally on your device. If you uninstall Jollof Words, this data is removed along with the app.
Anonymised analytics and crash report data are retained for up to 12 months, after which they are automatically deleted or fully anonymised in aggregate form.
Your Rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights regarding your personal data, including the right to access, correct, or delete information we hold about you. Because Jollof Words collects minimal data and does not require account creation, most of your data is held locally on your device and is within your direct control.

Continued use of Jollof Words after any changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
